BOOK REVIEW & random factoid

Rating: 5/5
I FINALLY finished this! I started it last semester and kinda read it off and on whenever I had a few minutes to spare. For comparison, it usually takes me about a day to a week to read a book (that I like). Anyway, I wanted to read it because it's the first book he wrote, and I loooove his books. It was FANTASTIC!! I had a lot of trouble reading the very beginning because it started with the crime, which was absolutely horrible. Once I got past that, though, it was a great read. The main character was cool - it's interesting reading from the POV of a defense lawyer since we're usually on the side of the prosecution in Law & Order, etc. There were good characters, lots of humor (despite the subject matter), and a plot guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat - especially once you get further along in the book. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good story.
Here's the description on the back of the book:
( Spoilerish )
Holly Marie Combs: The actress who played Piper on Charmed (icon). I looked her up on info.com (as I tend to do pretty often with random people) and it says that her mom was 15 when she had her, and her mom's name was Lauralei! Sound familiar? Is that just a weird coincidence? For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, in the show Gilmore Girls, Lorelai Gilmore was 16 when she had her daughter.
